Open Enrollment & Renewal
It's renewal and open enrollment time again. You will start to receive your 2020 plans and rates shortly. Premiums are increasing. But premium subsidies are as well. Based on this most folks who receive a premium subsidy will see little net increase of even a premium reduction after the discount is applied. We will be getting detailed updates on each of you individually. As in years past, Jan & I will review your renewal for any opportunities for better coverage at a better price for you |

Premium Subsidy for 2020
Rates have increased but so have the premium subsidies. Your 2020 subsidy is based on your most recent tax return that is 2018. If you believe your income will be different from 2018 - you may need to change in your Healthcare.gov account. Please let me know and we can help you. Note: The income you should use for 2020 is the estimate of your modified adjusted gross - line 37 on your 1040 plus the full value of any Social Security payments. |
