In this interactive session, you’ll discover the impact that you can have in your business and beyond. With impact as your powerful focus, decision-making is easier, strategy is clearer, and taking action becomes more fulfilling. Businesses that focus on impact perform 12-14 times better financially. Open yourself to opportunities to make a difference in the world as your business thrives.
  • Sales Techniques and Presentation for Artists – In this session, artists will learn how to engage potential clients. You will also learn about sales techniques, how to sell more work and be comfortable doing it at a street fair, art festival, exhibition, special event, or in your studio, and identifying and creating opportunities by considering alternative exhibit venues, local/state/regional organizations, colleague contacts, collaborations and getting your work published.
  • The Art & Power of Storytelling – This breakout session offers tips and strategies about the art of storytelling and how to get your unique story into the world. From drawing on emotion to using past experiences to interweaving current events to brainstorming methods, you’ll walk away with encouragement and ammunition to begin your own storytelling journey.
  • Factors that Can Keep You from Getting a Loan & How to Avoid Them (Panel) –This compelling panel consists of experts from the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) field  that will share how to avoid the pitfalls that can cause you to have your loan denied or delayed.
  • Latino in Business Session lead by Martha Berrio (In Spanish) – This session will showcase Martha Berrio, a Latina small business owner who migrated from Colombia 12 years ago. She has successfully balanced being a mother, owning a small part-time business and working full time. Martha is the owner of Crumbs Bakery. Martha enjoys delighting her clients with classic desserts and new recipes that she creates. Martha strongly believes that doing the things that we love to do are part of being happy.
  • Thinking Outside the Boss – In this session, you will learn why selling your company to your employees is the best kept secret for succession planning or pursuing your bucket list, while maintaining a stake in your business.
