Join the Fundraiser for YMI at this year's GOOMBAY Festival

Earlier this year the YMI Cultural Center embarked on a 6 million capital campaign for building renovations and programing. Trout Insurance is offering our participation in Goombay as a Fundraiser for this important project.
Together with two of our insurance partners, Alignment Medicare and Friday Health Plans, we will match donations to $2,500. Our goal is $ 5,000+ for YMI's cultural center.
Trout Insurance has worked with YMI for many years now. We are honored they chose us to work with them on their liability and property insurance. It is Very Cool that one of our client’s buildings is listed on the “National Register of Historic Places."
We had a great time at Goombay! Thank you to everyone who came out to the festival to show their support. We're just short of our donation goal and we need your help. Please donate what you can to help the YMI achieve their goal. Trout Insurance, Friday Health, and Alignment Health will match donations to help reach our goal of $5,000. 100% of donations will be given directly to the YMI.

It is one of the longest-running festivals in Asheville and only one of three events focusing on the existence and contributions of African Americans in Western North Carolina. While it is a celebration of Afro-Caribbean origins, customs, and culture, Goombay is enjoyed by many across races, gender, and generations. People come from all over the US to celebrate Goombay.
